Mazda applications use
a wide variety of two barrel "down draft" style carburetors.
Hitachi and Nikki shared the Mazda lineup until 1987 when a Solex
Mikuni two barrel carburetor began to appear on the B2600 Mazda pickup
trucks. This model continued in 1988.
Did you know that Mazda rotary engines are the only Japanese
automobiles to come equipped with a four barrel carburetor ? The
rotary engine's four barrel unit is made by Hitachi and comes in
several variations.
